Ballard Inn

The Ballard Inn, originally the American-Scandinavian Bank, has been completely renovated and restored to it's 1902 elegance. The Ballard Inn features 16 intimate rooms all with 21st century amenities. In the late 1920s the bank was converted to a hotel, which began serving the City of Ballard and the neighboring communities of Fremont, Wallingford and Magnolia. In 2011, the building underwent it's final transformation to become the Ballard Inn.

WHAT OUR GUESTS SAY

-Guest Reviews-

We used to frequent the Ballard Inn when our daughter lived in Seattle. The Inn's price point is perfect for what you get. The property is clean and all the shared areas are inspected throughout the day. We never had any issues with the shared bathrooms. Great coffee and we love that they offer newspapers in the morning. Access to the OAC next door is a great perk. We prefer the 2nd floor rooms but the 1st floor is fine on quiet evenings. We will be looking for an excuse to stay again soon!

My husband and I loved our stay in Ballard. We booked a King Deluxe, knowing that we wanted a private bathroom. Our room also had its own private street entrance, which was quite charming. It was warm the week we visited and the hotel does not have AC. The open window and provided fan was just fine, as the nights were cool. The street noise did not bother us, but the Inn did provide ear plugs too. The Inn is very close to many cool pubs, restaurants and shops. We used Uber to get into the city but spent most of our time in Ballard!

Stayed for two nights. I didn't mind the shared bath. Sort of a European feel. Right in the heart of restaurant, bar and shopping area. Great restaurant choices and grabbing a late night cocktail is an absolute must. Nice whisky bars with an amazing selection of craft cocktails. Close enough to downtown Seattle, but you don't even need to go there because Ballard has everything

I visit my 92 year old Mom for 3 to 4 days at a time and I use the Ballard Inn for my home base. This hotel gives you that European flavor with the right price, a comfortable bed, the black & white provincial decorations and the shared or not shared bath option. The white robe, the fluffy towels and the soft sheets make this my favorite option and Ballard is a wonderful location for local bars & restaurants. I am also adventurous and I just go around the corner and catch the bus to downtown for a night out. A bonus is the availability of the Olympic Athletic Club for a workout! I stay here about 4 times a year and the staff greets me like family-it is a very special hotel!

Most rooms have a shared bath but don't let that put you off. The rooms are very nice and the entire building is very, very clean. There is always coffee and fresh fruit, off street parking is available. Loved our stay.
